Although I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Alan Greenfield's activism is a quality anyone can recognize and appreciate, no matter where they live. Peace and humanitarianism are representative of the best in all of us.

My son, Mathew, emailed me Alan's blog andI intend to continue reading and rooting for the movement Mr. Greenfield has started. I will share his message with my friends here in Albuquerque.

There is a Darfur link that has a postcard that can be filled out and sent to president Bush. Here is what the card says,

"Dear President Bush,

During your first year in the White House, you wrote in the margins of a report on the Rwandan genocide, "Not on my watch."

I urge you to live up to those words by using the power of your office to support a stronger multi-national force to protect the civilians of Darfur."

Here is the link if any of you choose to contact the president, asking to live up to his words:

My thanks to Mr. Greenfield and to all the activists who feel their time is well-spent in helping others. I believe in it very strongly.
